Homecoming Weekend October 2025: RIDE Center "Invention Sprint"

The Invention Sprint is a three‐hour innovation challenge to develop, prototype, and pitch a market‐ready solution to a real‐world challenge. Facilitated by Lemelson‐MIT invention experts Dr. Leigh Estabrooks and Doug Scott, teams designed adaptive medical devices with defined commercial potential.

Employing RIDE tools and technologies, students prototyped and pitched to investors Paul Silva of Innovate413 and Rob Zielonka of Escape Velocity. The Sprint emphasized the translation of technical innovation into scalable commercial value.
